How Invisalign orthodontics can transform your smile!
- Posted on: Feb 15 2019
An imperfect smile can make patients feel self-conscious about how they look. However, misaligned teeth no longer mean that patients can look and feel their best! With orthodontic treatment, Portland, OR area patients can achieve the smile of their dreams, even without traditional brackets and wires. Instead, the team at NW Heights Dental are proud to offer solutions such as Invisalign.
When patients think of misaligned teeth and braces, they often think of metal brackets glued to the teeth and wires holding them together to reposition them. With improvements in the dental field, this no longer has to be the way in which results are achieved. Our professionals, including Drs. Keri Smith and David Heibert, are excited to offer Invisalign as an alternative. With Invisalign, patients can achieve results without the unsightly metal. Instead, Invisalign uses clear trays that are worn by the patient to gently reposition the teeth into better alignment. These trays are indistinguishable from the natural teeth, making it easier than ever to get the smile of your dreams while showing off your current one!
Invisalign comes in a series of trays which are designed by the Invisalign laboratory using digital impression of the patient’s current smile and their desired alignment. These trays are worn for two weeks, then the patient progresses to the next one, until they have reached their final tray. The final tray can be used at night as a retainer to maintain the results. The entire process can be done in approximately one year, or even less for mild misalignment. However, patients are required to be compliant with the use of their trays to see the results they expect.
