What is Cosmetic Dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry combines teeth health with their aesthetic value. Our goal is to give you the confidence you deserve from having a healthy, beautiful smile. Smile Design & Makeover
Smile design and makeover allows patients to receive a number of cosmetic treatments in unison in order to improve the overall appearance of their smile. After a consultation at NW Heights Dental, our patients will have a custom plan to restore and improve their teeth. We use a combination of our general and cosmetic services to achieve your new smile.
The Invisalign system uses advanced 3-D computer-imaging technology to project tooth movement in a patient’s mouth. This allows the dentist to create a series of clear, custom-made aligners, also know as repositioners, that gradually move the teeth in line with one another. Patients wear each aligner for about two weeks, then move on to the next set, until the teeth-positioning goal has been met.
What our patients have to say about NW Heights Dental
“The doctors, hygienists, and staff are kind, friendly, and incredibly professional. My entire family loves both Dr. Smith and Dr. Hiebert!
Porcelain veneers are very thin, tooth-colored shells of ceramic that are custom-fit and bonded to the front of the teeth. They can create an attractively white and even smile. Veneers can address a variety of issues, including chipped, yellow, stained, misshapen or crooked teeth, or teeth with spaces between them. A veneer placed on top of a tooth can quickly and easily improve the look of a smile.
Porcelain crowns are a porcelain restoration that covers the top of a tooth. Crowns allow patients to restore a broken tooth to its normal size and shape while strengthening and improving its appearance. Typically, a crown is implemented when a tooth is broken to the point where a filling will not be an effective solution. At NW Heights Dental we can place crowns in conjunction with bridges and dental implants.
Porcelain bridges are tooth replacements that help maintain structure, reduce stress on the jaw and fill in the gaps caused by missing teeth. Additionally, porcelain bridges offer patients the option to have their new bridge color match their natural teeth color. A dental bridge is a small row of prosthetics that help stabilize the bite. This is done by relying on the strength of the surrounding teeth, also known as abutment teeth. Bridges also help keep adjacent teeth from moving into the open space left by the missing tooth.
An artificial tooth root made of zirconium or titanium, an implant is surgically placed into the jawbone to support tooth-replacement structures such as crowns, bridges, and dentures. While the dental implant mimics the root of the tooth, the replacement structure looks and feels just like a natural tooth, providing patients with a permanent solution that replicates the fit and feel of natural teeth.
Orthodontics can straighten crooked or protruding teeth, the correct irregular spacing between teeth and bite problems, and align lips and teeth properly. Invisalign can assist in correcting all types of malocclusions, also known as misalignments. While many individuals are drawn to orthodontic treatment for cosmetic reasons, orthodontics is frequently necessary to prevent or correct difficulty with biting, chewing, and speech.
Teeth whitening products allow patients to brighten their stained or darkened teeth. Patients with teeth stained by food, tobacco use, age or injury are the best candidates for teeth whitening. Here, at NW Heights Dental, we offer a variety of in-office and take-home teeth whitening products to help patients to reduce or eliminate their stains.
